I gotta say Apples and Oranges.
Star Trek is a universe about adventure via exploration.
Star Wars is a universe about adventure via space opera.
Each provides great opportunities for adventure, each approach has advantages and disadvantages. |

| I like both, but I prefer star wars. The original star trek series was plain awful. Voyager was far too cheesy and predictable. Basicly everything sucked after roddenberry died. It's like the producers couldn't come up with new characters or stories so they tried creating parallels - for instance, Seven of nine was a crappy attempt at creating a 'voyager' equivalent of Data, and it failed horribly. Actually, the only good character in voyager was the doctor. TNG was the best series by a long shot. |
