For me I basically need a kidney transplant and right now I'm doing dialysis it sucks big time :(
I wish it was just a kidney stone or something like that. Tbh I never felt any pain .... only came out from tests and insanely high blood pressure. |

| Wow, I haven't posted in TA in a long time. A couple years I think. Anyway was looking around and saw your post man. Let me tell ya, an endoscopy isn't really all that bad. I was asleep for mine, but then again they were also doign a colonoscopy at the time. Prior to that I had a sigmoidoscopy (sp?) which is like a mini colonoscopy. Either way, taht air they put up ya isn't goign to feel so good when ya wake up. You're gonna need to let it out, so just burp it out, or fart, depending on where it all is :) In the end you'll be okay bud, just a bit disorriented from it, but just to let you know after i had taht double procedure done I was back to normal by the next day. Though I did milk it a bit for the sympathy my GF gave me ;-). Anyway hope this helpede, and good luck. If you've anymore questions on it feel free to ask adn I'll try and check back today and see if I can't help. |

Back home now. It went ok i guess except for a few things.
They didnt give me enough sedative, i'm big built and 6'2...I was wide awake through the hold procedure, whereas the 80 year old midgit next to me was completely passed out.
I remember every second of it which is not good. I couldnt stop gagging and heaving. The bottom of my stomach feels like i've got a measuring ruler in there, quite sore.
And they told me they found nothing...which is . And they didnt bother to take a biopsy. |

They gave me this syrup that tasted so bad that I felt like I was about to gag. Mine was done while I was unconscious.
It really isn't all that bad.
After they looked inside my stomach and removed the IV providing the sedative, they started wheeling me back to the recovery room. I was "half-asleep" and apparently lashed out at one of the doctors, verbally, asking "What the f*ck he was doing to me" and that "I was going to kick his f*cking ass". The doctor was taken aback and went somewhere else, according to my mom who witnessed the entire event since she was walking along the other doctors. |

do it asleep. i just didnt want to be awake for it. i woke up with a really clogged up throat of mucus, and i had to clear it which was very hard. and i was naseous some. |
