hmm...it's a tossup between watching a basketball game at home earlier this year or the day I graduated college two years ago

For me, it would be the day in march, 1998 that my physical therapist told me to get on the treadmill and start jogging. Over a year prior I had been told that I would probably never walk again (really bad skiing accident)... that type of changes a person... I went on to a full recovery
:)

I've been thinking about this for a little bit. Right off the bat I couldn't think of the happiest DAY, only happy moments or events. But I've searched my failing memory and come up with the one whole day that I remember as being the happiest I've ever been...

...the day I got accepted into Simon's Rock college of Bard (http://www.simons-rock.edu/)

I was 16 years old and I HATED high school. So when I got accepted to this college it meant that I was leaving my hole school for good and small town USA [Roscoe, NY] could kiss my ass goodbye!! Screw 11th and 12th grades, I was getting the HELL OUT! :p

On top of that, the school is really hard to get into and my mom was so proud of me. That day was the first time I saw the pride in her face instead of just hearing it in her voice. And I made my brother proud as well. That afternoon, while I was out and about, school friends were stopping me left and right to congratulate me. My brother had been bragging about me to everyone and I couldn't believe it. I was usually just his annoying, crazy little sister but that day I was not.

That day I was so happy to know my mom and my brother were proud of me and to learn I was finally FREE - free from the small and close-minded world I'd been held captive in for so long.

My life changed for the better from that day forward and I never looked back. :)

I played against Bard in Rugby
Just about the only match we won!!!
no offense - the guys @ Bard were a good lot - you had a great drink-up
As I recall, I ran past your dining hall stark naked, drenched in beer (Hail zulu warrior, hey!!! zulu warrior)

Wow, forget all that I wrote, I just remembered something!

The best day of my life was when my friend sent me a link to a site with about 10,000 puppy and kitten pictures on it! :D

I was going to ask how you fit all of those activities into one day.

I really need to start budgeting my time better. :tongue2

I have also been thinking about this for awhile now and I would have to say that the most happy days of my life have something to do with the Military. The day I left for basic training (even though I was scared less), the day I graduated basic training top of my class (smoked everybody in my flight in the pysical assessment...pushups, situps, and two mile run.) The day I graduated with honors from jet propulsion and structure technical school (within nine months I went from knowing jack about aircrafts to becoming an F-15 certified jet mechanic.) The day I found out I would be stationed in Ft. Walton Beach FL (it was like....Hey welcome to the United States Air Force....we are moving you to the beach for your four years of dudy!!!!......needless to say I had the time of my life) And last but certainly not least. We were on a two week TDY deployment to Las Vegas for weapons training. It was a Friday morning and I went into work hung over like a bitch from partying my ass off at Club Utopia the night before and my flight cheif calls me into his office and I still remember the words that came out of his mouth...."Airman Toia, are you ready for your incentive this morning?" I was like " YES....SIRRRRR!!!" I got an incentive flight in an F-15 in Las Vegas!!! It was the sickest I have ever done!!! Im talking vertical take-off in after burner.....barrel rolls, vertical spins, aileron rolls, breaking the speed of sound......TOP GUN !!! It was the most amazing experience I have ever had.....flying through the Grand Cannon in an F-15 is something that hardly anybody gets a chance to do and im so thankful for it.

The Happiest Day of my life was on November 16th, 1999 at 9:16 in the morning, when my lil girl was born and I held her for the first time. I don't think anything could ever happen to me that could top that.:)
