Don't know about the best, but one of my top 3 that's for sure. Something about getting those two together on the same decks, they compliment each other so perfectly, it's impossible to explain to someone who hasn't seen them go at it.
EDIT:
what about the combo of the throbbing sexy sounds of Satoshi Tomiie, and the twisted progressive of Timo Mass? It wouldn't be up there with the above, but the combination of sounds would make for a very interesting set. |

sasha & digweed together have the ability to release each & every emotion we carry. happy, sad, euphoric, sinister...i dont know how they do it but they tap into every emotion i have
they allow you to experience night & day which is why imo they are #1 |

Sasha & Digweed's 4 Year Anniversary @ Twilo ( 2000 ) -- What a NITE !!!
An old review i found on the net...which basically talks about a fire alarm that was tripped up, forcing the party to evacuate the building for a little bit...
As soon as we got back in, the lights went dim...and someone screamed in the crowd...MUSIC !...that's when one solitary spotlight hit the legandary decks of Twilo nite club...it slowly grew larger...forcing people to look up at the elevated platform that stood unoccupied, waiting for the masters to return...suddenly, up popped Digweed..a knowing smile on his face...and there was sound...the scratch of needle on wax...the rush of air as twilo's cool air systems flooded the heated floor...Sasha appeared in the background, arms raised, calling for the faithful to draw up on their energy reserves...the collective sigh of 2000 clubbers built into a scream as they all knew that...the magic was about to begin...
1 of the GREATEST nites of MY LIFE !!!!!!!
The entire fire episode was pretty surreal. Sometime after 4am, we heard an announcement that we needed to leave, but that they would let us back in. So, we all filed out through the back stairs onto west 27th Street. This must have been the most orderly fire evacuation ever. Everybody was in bewilderment, but once we stepped outside the cold reality of a lingering winter's night hit us hard. Even through the cold, everybody was good-natured - from the VW pumping out Satoshie Tomiie's Love in Traffic, to those crazy kids on the Ryder truck. We kept on being herded away from the club, back to the club and then away again. I don't know what was going on, but everybody near me started mooing, as they shuffled along. What a sight for the NYPD and FDNY! This must have been a first for them - thousands of clubbers outside evacuating and then, returning to the scene of the fire without a hitch or incident. Everybody was so well behaved. We even gave the FDNY a round of applause and cheers as they left the scene. It was a true testament to the vibe inside Twilo, usually found on the dance floor. The whole ordeal lasted about an hour from exit to re-entry. Diggers was waiting for us when we got back and he started laying it down hard right away, which was sorely needed since everybody needed to warm up and what better way is there than to dance to his beats. |
