Hi.
Finally after lots of work i am near completiting this track (needs some automation smooothing and minor mix adjustments i think)
Been to long since i made some trance track on my own nearly a year.
Anyway made in Reason , bpm 132
Pointers, comments, hatred, love or support is welcome :D

Hey.
-Interesting groove. Fairly catchy, not too driving but good.
-Sounds dark. Good job at creatign a defining mood.
-Good clean but dirty bassline. It could be brought up a notch. The pads are shadowing it a little but it is still clearly audible.
-Good kalimba pluck. I always have liked that sound.
-Good use of filters and gates :).
-The break is very atmospheric. The kick in the break seems a little out of place though. Try usign soemthign like a low tom instead. Itll have a little more oomph and wotn cause confusion with trying to set a tempo or groove.
-Good pad work.
-The melody sounds like it is very good but it sounds like its being restricted. It sounds as if you have just cut off all the lower and some of the top frequencies in the sound, giving it an 'playing-in-a-can' effect. Let it play out more. The instrument you have chosen wont conflict with other instruments and make the song muddy. Also, it sounds like you have it too much in the center of the stereo field. Put it more out in the 20 degree area. Itll also beef up the melody more. Right now, it just sounds too thin :).
Overall, very well produced track with some high potential. I like it a lot but it needs to tuning. Cant wait to hear the full track in te near future :). Thomas said he liked it a lot so I'm sure I will too :).

Before the bass comes in early on in the sample, the gated synth makes the song seem really jittery and awkward, although it fits better later on when it's not the only thing going. You should look into that.
What is that gated pad divided into? Triplets? They're very uneven triplets if they are.
I like everything else. Good job with the atmosphere. |

The pads come in from bar 16. fade in of this sample starts at 24. Maybe thats why?
What is a triplets?

Great percs. Nice atmospheric sounds. Classic Fahad :D
You always seem to build a track around fx first which is really cool
The Mind's Eye gated synth is cool. Bit of a trademark now matey ;) Can get a bit confusing but thats all part of the magic :p
Could be turned into a driving melodic trancer (maybe a remix). I can see the potential for one anyway. Maybe I can have a shot at remixing :)

Hey Fahad!
I like this dark & dirty business.. its a mean song, but still melodic - nice job!
As always, your percs are soooo tasty.
My only suggestion is that the snare seems a little too 'small' for the style of the tune.

this is great, one of your best tracks so far, if not the best
i'm a sucker for gated strings, probably because of that, hehe... but still, the melody is gorgeous! very solid percs and bassline too

bass need some mid freqs,and snares need some higher freqs
also bass to dirt..nice work..keep up with that work

Tnx for the replies everyone.
I kinda forgot this one :/ giving hope up mixing it down.
The snare was chosen with intention, i just wanted a weird beat, also am to used to it to change now hehe.
Will post a better sample when i mixed it down better and calll it finished.
