pointless... just have one of the "boiz" DJ and have Mel as a dancer. That way you don't have to sacrifice musical quality for visuals. Just have them both!
That way you attract more people... the ones who came for the music and the ones who came for Mel...
DJ Rap should give up DJing and become PvD's official dancer :P now that'll be a crowd.
Looks aren't everything for a DJ, but they are a determining factor. If all it took was looks, you'd see a lot more hot female DJs topping thedjlist (and now there are very few). There are good female DJs and bad ones, but unlike their male counterparts, few have been able to meet all of the "requirements" that top DJs have. I have yet to see/hear a banging fine female DJ that produces amazing tracks and plays amazing sets (you either get one or the other, but never both), but top male DJs like Tiesto and Paul van Dyk have a good physical presentation as well as good music.
a successful DJ has the following:
-looks
-skill in producing music
-unique playlist (maybe some tracks other djs play, but you've gotta have tracks that people can only hear from you) |

you don't need skills in producing music
some djs are ty producers but can totally rock live
you don't really need to be good looking

unique playlist is some of it, but i'd say overall set flow is far more important
and above all, the ability to read a crowd
