Its arrived :D

God bless the piss poor US/Uk exchange rate..... cost me $220- of which $50 was shipping.
When you consider there is one on Uk ebay for £700 and i just paid less than £100 for it...im over the moooooooon.
Condition is almost perfect too!
Now the bad bits:
-I knew when i bought it the internal fuses had blown- so later today I will be performing open heart surgery on it to fix them. Ive already had a look inside and they have both definately blown.
-being from the states it has a US plug and Us voltage- and my step down transformer for it still hasnt arrived, so cant use it until then anyway.
It was a little bit of a gamble- but a nice project and (i hope) an easy fix! I cant see anything else wrong with it.
Stay tuned...... updates later with internal pics- this thing is seriously well made inside. Im off to maplins for some fuses now.....
:tongue3 |

| if you know what your doing, fuses arnt hard to replace. considering he paid how much less for it? i think i was a great deal. get that transformer up and there you go. thats the only bad part of useing US stuff in the UK as well as other nations. |

This thing is seriously well built! For anyone that cares, here is a little step by step.
Sealed front! No dust getting in- good :) No access to internals from front- bad :(

Output board on top left. All channels, outputs and everything else unpluggable i presume for servicing or replacement. All labelled too so you know exactly what is what.

See any fuses? Hidden in there somewhere....little buggers.

After using a spanner(!) to remove the output jacks and the attached board, finally get to the two blown fuses.
Both had blown, as the seller had said. No other signs of tampering or damage whatsoever.
Replaced them with 2 500mA fuses and put it all back together.

Does it work???
Tune in tomorrow to find out..........:tongue3
Step down transformer arrives tomorrow morning- so i will cross my fingers, legs, toes, arms and eyes and pray to the god of vestax while i flick the switch.:eyes: |
