| No, its not an office job. It's a post production company (editing, color, audio) for movies/commercials/videos. Most people who leave (which is like every week) send an email to ALL and say something short, like it's been fun but I'm moving on.......... It's real informal, nothing fancy. The company is basically gobbling up every other company in NY, and barely gives raises to any of its employees who are so overworked, that most people who live far away just end up sleeping here. It's annoying.......doing your best and its never enough. |

Scenario:
You write some rude letter to Mr. Boss. You get a real kick out of feeling special because you told him to shove it up his ass because you think you will never need him again. Then 10 years from now he becomes some head honcho at company X. You apply for a jobby job at company X and it it turns out he has a say in the hiring process. Will you get the job?
Or what if he turns out to be the friend of another boss you go work for etc etc etc etc etc.
Be a "man" and write a polite letter and call it quits. No need to burn a bridge so young in life. |

| I'm doing a 360 with careers and going back to school, so I guess I feel I can give a little dig to these people. I wasn't thinking of a major F-U, just a little somethin. |

Do what u want.....but i can tell you so many different stories on how people thought they would never need an ex boss.
I knew one guy who told his boss to go himself....then 7 years later he ended up dating his friggen niece!!!!!!!.....
never burn bridges....gets you nowhere. |

its ur choice...
most ppl i know who hate their jobs just keep that info between themselves n their immediate peers...to the company and executives its always sickening sweet...
professionalism (even thru bs-ing) never hurt anyone. u can grit ur teeth and do a polite goodbye cant u?
even though u are going back to school, u mite need a *recommendation* <-- positive (much better than a reference <--just a formal statement) from this company that u thought u wouldnt have a use for.
thats my $.02 and btw ive hated all my bosses from one time to another but they only have glowing things to say about me. LOL |
