I e-mailed him my set of pics and he said he'd go through them to see what ones he wants on the site within a couple days :D

"The final port of call was Republik in Toronto Canada on Sunday May 22nd. The following day was a public holiday meaning that the city was hosting a number of big parties. At another Toronto club Danny Tenaglia was playing from 10pm til 2pm the following afternoon. Much as I love my job, I can’t really feel a great deal of empathy with a dj who wants to play a 16 hour set. There’s plenty of great tracks around at the mo, but certainly nothing like 16 hours’ worth. My musical style is all about shorter sets with intensive bursts of energy, and doesn’t translate well into playing for more than a maximum of 3-4 hours.

Republic was an example of an otherwise fantastic venue with a poorly situated dj booth. It was in a corner too far away from the crowd and partially obscured by a speaker stack. However I should point out that it only opened two months ago, and the booth is in a temporary location. Whilst the club wasn’t totally full, the atmosphere was awesome. As someone who loves nothing better than interacting with the crowd, I feel I could have done my job better if I felt more connected with the dancefloor, not removed from it, but it was a good night all the same. After my set I felt it was sensible to let the club promoter know my thoughts- after all they’d got everything else so right, and hopefully the new booth will be more suitable. I was really well looked after and the Toronto crowd continues to be one of the coolest in the world to play to. There’s so many great venues, and Republik is certainly up there with the best of them."

Is it me or does it seem like he's explaining himself?! haha Like everytime someone spoke to him "yo Judge man, why aren't you playing for 16 hours like Danny T"

haha poor judge, worst fashion sense in the industry

that seems like a very sensible and thoughtful review. Nice to see that even artists/djs can express themselves in words.

I hope more djs tell clubs what they DONT like, so the club can get it right

most of the bigger name DJs do make comments on the clubs they play. Especially the new ones of the venues they haven't played before.

Danny T made comments about Boa when he played there last year. Most notably about his comments were the location of the DJ booth and the high volume of traffic running by right in front of it. Afterward, plans were made to move the booth to it's current location, and in the meantime, they closed off the stairwell running right in front of it.
