yea man

here i sit with tears in my eyes thinking how the hell im going to survive with the gf being in San Diego for two months. as much as it sucks, i have to accept the fact that she needs to see her family. Who am I to stop that, right?

I hope you guys feel me on this one. this girl means the world to me. Guess I just needed to share this one with you guys before I go out and smoke 14 packs of Marlboro Milds to help me stop crying. Yes, I am a , or whatever is on your minds. But, to my understanding, Real Men Cry. Guess I'll get over all this pain in a few weeks.

I'm dedicating three of the best songs EVER, to my precious girl:

Death Cab for Cutie - A Lack of Color
Straylight Run - Your Name Here (Sunrise Highway)
Bobby Valentino - One Girl To Love

peace out kids c/p

hey man, don't sweat the girl. yea, it sucks having your girlfriend leave. mine moved to a different state and that sucked.... but to tell you the truth i just kind of dealt with it. i went out. hung out more with friends. met new girls. before i knew it, i wasnt even thinking about her -- and i really did care about her. sure, every now and then i would, or when she would call it would get me upset, but life throws some curveballs. either strike out or learn how to swing. the game's more fun when you're not on the bench.

not that this will help but the way I have dealt with such pain...is by preventing it from ever happening. I don't form attachments. In my case there's never been a point since everytime I get a crush on someone...I get exactly that, crushed. So yeah...no attatchments, no fear of losing anything, nothing lost...and I can have my fun. I take it back...the only atteachment I've made with anything in life is with the music, because its something I will never lose for the rest of my life.

Ripped from a review I read
"Yoda, whose reptilian smugness we have been encouraged to mistake for wisdom, has the answer. “Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose,” he says. Hold on, Kermit, run that past me one more time. If you ever got laid (admittedly a long shot, unless we can dig you up some undiscerning alien hottie with a name like Jar Jar Gabor), and spawned a brood of Yodettes, are you saying that you’d leave them behind at the first sniff of danger? Also, while we’re here, what’s with the screwy syntax? Deepest mind in the galaxy, apparently, and you still express yourself like a day-tripper with a dog-eared phrase book. “I hope right you are.” Break me a ing give."

I agree with Phoenix...architect, think back on the happy times you had with your girl & how lucky you were to have gotten to know her, even if she's gone now. & then take Dirk's advice & go out & have some fun.

Let me know if you ever need to hang out...I'm only an hour away and have been wanting to hit up Austin soon.

New weekly coming up at the old Red Room on Wednesdays. I'll keep you in the loop.

Best advice I can give is just be happy you had those good times and use this time to tuly find yourself. I went out and read books, drank coffee, just stuff like that.

You'll be fine mang...I promise.

Sorry dude but I totally disagree. That is no way to live life imo. If I don't take any risks just to keep myself safe from the world then I'll never be able to look back and feel happy about how I lived my life. It is through both happy and hurtful experiences that we learn, and through learning that we grow as people. Maybe these are philosophies that not everyone shares, but I aim to soak up as much of the world as I can before I'm gone forever.

What a ty review. Admittedly, at first when Yoda muttered that advice I was like wtf kind of advice is that? But when I thought about it, it makes sense for a Jedi to think that way because after all, they are sacrificing what could have become of their lives in order to be Jedi and keep the peace.

dude i know how you feel, but you dont have it so bad..shes gone for only 2 months to visit her family and shes comming back and everything will go back to normal.

I fell for this girl a couple of weeks back in Miami, and had the most amazing time in my life with her, and i had to leave and it was really really bad...So now im in Costa Rica and shes in the states..and we talk on the phone and all but you never know when im going to get the chance to see her again. And thing is im really picky when it comes to girls i like..and i take way to long to find one and when i finally find one which i really click with i have to leave..bull eh..So yeah i have to deal with it, with drugs bwahahahahaha.

no but seriously..:(

some of the advice in this thread is really good though, especially Dirk's and Yoda's.

My advice:

Have sex with Dirk.

Problem solved.
