Starting Off, Need a good Music Creation Software.

Hey everybody.
If I'm just starting off with the creation of some trance, are there any good programs to purchase?
My friend suggested Fruity Loops, and Ive given that a try, but I think that a purchased program would have more to offer.
Any suggestions? |

| yes i agree this should be the right room for this question and i too would like to see an anser. guess ill go hit up the Search buttone while i wait for a reply, and do i understand that fruity loops is free ware? ill look that up too. |

| Fruity is not freeware. It costs anywhere from 150 to 500$ depending on what edition and wether it's boxed or bought online. |

ignoring the little descriptions seems to be the best course of action, and if i was in your position, the name "production studio" would jump out at me. |
