Hello.
I just upgraded from Cubase SX 1 to 2 and now my VST send effects option isn't listed in my devices drop down menu. Any ideas how I could make it reappear?

I didn't realise they'd changed the way they do this from SX 1 to 2. You couldn't just have written "They've changed the way they do this from SX1 to 2?" And then one or two sentences sending me in the right direction? Or nothing at all if you're so annoyed about my having the misfortune to read my post. Simple bloody question, no need to be rude about it. |

Hey. Lol, yeah. RTFM is good advice, but I dont think thats what he was hoping for ;). I dont use Cubase so I cant answer your question, but to you subtle, be a little more helpful :P. We all have our problems at times and this is what this forum is for. Dont bother posting if you can only offer him the comment 'read the ign manual'. We go to the places that make the software for that piece of adivce ;).
Cheers,

i see, but actually a couple of clicks wouldnt hurt.. just click "help" and "html help" in Cubase and do a little search..
if I knew the answer i would have said it, but i didnt use VST Send effect before i upgraded to SX 2.. so furious about not knowing i felt I hadd to take the frustration out on the threadstarter..
*hopes for forgiveness*

No probs. All is forgiven. Was kinda frustrated myself for not figuring it out for my myself, which is what I normally do. I've spent a full three days away from Cubase this weekend and my health is beginning to return to normal!

so, did you figure it out? in mixer, right-click, create fx-track. that's it. now you can even chain effects in send channel, which you could not do in sx1. |

You know, I think most of the time people ask other people instead of searching by themselves. I thinki it's not a good idea because every search you have to do when you have a problem will help you for your experience in the softwares, hardwares, etc...
So, try first, then search and if you don't find anything (after having searched more than 1 minute), then ask. That's my point of view.
But I don't have you answer... lol |

I get what you're saying but the reason I asked was because I thought there was something wrong with the software. I didn't realise it was actually a new design feature in SX2. |
