Hi everyone,
I'm using Stylus RMX with Cubase SL. What I would like to do is, by using the master tone and pitch in Stylus, is to record a "fade in" of a drum loop. I've tried this a good few times but I can't get Cubase to record the fade in. I think it has something to do with the "R" and "W" buttons. Can anyone out there tell me how to do this please?
Any replies greatly appreciated. |

The 'W' button is to write your automation.
Click it, then while the track is playing-twiddle the knob (oo-er missus!!) to fade in, then stop.
this should have made an automation track at the bottom of the sequencer.
click the 'R' button and it should now read the automation you just did!!
I use Cubase SX - hope its the same and this explanation helps.

I don't think Spect' synths work the same way when it comes to automation. They use Midi CC numbers to control the synth's parameters. In the velocity section of the midi file, change the velocity parameter to one of the numbers. It should say in the manual which number it is that controls the nobs you want automated. Then you just draw in the automation as you would velocity. |
