| My girlfriends and I had an awesome time, Armin was so friendly...and fun to watch. Played a lot of the favorites from ASOT 2005, also threw in my favorite thrillseekers remix of "need to feel loved". We had great night! :o) |

Oh, and BTW, I was embarrassed to be white last night, lol.
Talk about the white guy dance, a bunch of the dudes on stage...OMG! Dude, if you can't dance, just hop like a bunny or something (ie, the trance jump), but don't try to dance and look ing retarded. I had to sit back a few times because I was embarrassed of the stereotype at that moment.
And then there was Mr. Rubber up there. Oh my lord. What in the hell was that. It wasn't dancing...it was funny more than anything. |

Hahaha, Pissed me off there were so many people there that were obviously not fans of armin or maybe even trance for that matter, there was this one chick that didnt even know when the breakdowns were when armin was playin, and other people were sittin ther lookin like they were bored. |

yeah ruby ske attracts about 300 poeple every weekend night regardless of who is playing...
think about how many people decide the day of "lets go to ruby skye" and to them $30 cover is nothing cause ruby skye is the spot to go...i love the 50 year old suits/cougars that roll in and you can tell they have no idea what is going on with the music/dj...
but they are either gone by 3am or still high off their kite..lol.. |

Well, last night was pretty much sold out going in....all presales did sell out at one point, but GK then release a few more tickets.
They pushed everyone from the balcony to the main floor around 3 as usual, but when all was said and done, I'd say 60-70% of the people there at 1am were there at 4am, so....good crowd.
I remember when Oakey played there last January...man, by 3:10am, there were maybe 30-40 people left. Was pitiful. Shows how much people love Armin, I guess....he does bring out non-regular club goers.

| But wasn't Oakenfold there on a weekday? And doesn't he spin now anyway? :P |

nope, it was a Friday night. For Martel & Nabiel (aka Release SF on certain nights).
Oakey then played on a Saturday at Ten15 for "Release SF" last May and apparenly played a mindblowing set. Best set people had heard from him in a long, long time....then he played again after that on a weekday night, for Tsunami charity and sucked ass. Oh well, raised almost $40,000 that night. :p

| Oh, I thought you were talking about the Charity event originally. |

Nope nope, the January event...cause I remember it well.
My Ruby Skye connections at the time were very limited, so I had to pay to get in (was like $40 or $45 bones, but I'm an Oakey hopeful at heart)...but it sold out and 200 tickets were being sold at the door when doors open at 9pm. I get there at like 7:45 and there was already a HUUUGEEE line. Luckily, I knew the very first group in line and was a bitch and skipped everyone. It started sprinkling a little after 8 so they went ahead and started telling tickets at the door, but made you leave once you got your stamp and you could come back at 9.
I remember the night because Behrouz was AWESOME! I know a lot of house fans rave over him, but I have through he was boring as everytime I saw him before that night...and well, since that night for that matter. He opened and closed for Oakey this night and was great. Oakey was actually decent, and it was a good thing a friend and I found the perfect spot where for some reason people never wanted to crowd or pass by...so we were really never bothered. |

YES YES! I was there for that night. Both him and D:Fuse rocked the house. Even though I haven't been going to TenFifteen for that long, I've never seen the trance room that packed. I mean, crazy packed. I was pretty much squished in the front row (luckily). I seriously could not dance cuz it was too friggin' packed. But it was quite an awesome night.
Really wished I could have made it to the 6 hour JOOF set. I've heard some great things about the guy but have still not seen a liveset from him. But I had to work, need all the cash for Love. Gas, booze, food, toll, tix, it all adds up. |

Dave during Enmass - CQ I saw you doing the trance jump in unison right behind Armin just before he started doing it and the whole place went nuts jumping simultaneously!
First off I just woke up an hour ago. I got back home from SF at 4pm Sat. and slept from 5pm till 10am Sun. Anyways...I spent most the night upfront on the balcony till 3am when they moved us downstairs then I made my way up to the front right of the stage and went nuts to all the encores. I had the best time and the crowd was great and Armin's set was flawless. And encore after encore OMFG I loved it. I haven't had that good of a time at a club in a very long time. Armin starting off with Ava Mea - In The End rocked and ending with 24 rocked too, I saw you signal 2-4 too Dave ;) ....Burned with Desire encore tore the roof off. Anyways had an awesome time and I can't wait till he comes back, until then I'll see Markus next weekend. Good seein you Dave, heres the trax I heard during the night, not in any order (lots of ASOT 2005 tunes!).
Ava Mea - In The End (opener)
Interstate - I Found You
NuFrequency - 808
Luminary - Wasting
Max Graham - I Know You're Gone
Armin - Shivers
EnMass - CQ
M.I.K.E. - Massive Motion
Paul van Dyk - Crush (crowd erupted!)
Marcos - Cosmic String
Adam White - Ballerina
Peter Martin - Simply Blue (choooon of the night for me)
Firewall - Sincere (OMFG I DIED)
Andy Moor - Halcyon
Gabriel & Dresden - Arcadia (awesome in Ruby's sound system)
Hammer & Bennet - Language (Santiago Nino Dub Tech Mix)
Tilt - Twelve
EnMass - Beyond Horizon
Recluse - Emotional Void
Blank & Jones - Perfect Silence (E-Craig rmx)
Armin - Burned With Desire (encore)
ID (2nd to last encore wtf was this tune, I need to know!!!)
24 - Longest Day Of My Life (final encore) I DIED!
Thats all I can remember, plus there were a lot of new tunes I didn't recognize. Incredible set Armin!
PS. Nice pics Dave, I'm jealous you got your pic with Armin. I was gonna try and get up on stage but the security was being hella strict.
