so do I. I'm well aware that cricket and rounders were around way before baseball, but they just aren't nearly as good. It's probably the only American sport I thoroughly enjoy.

it's a pity you just cheer for the wrong team(s).;) :D

Baseball = America's pastime. You make fun of baseball, you make fun of America. Rumor has it, Saddam Hussein used to make fun of baseball. Capiche, hombre?

I was in DC for a month a while back and caught a few Nationals games (saw them beat the Braves twice btw), and it was much more fun than going to a football (or God forbid) soccer game. It's a chill sport, you just have to understand that.

Are you heading back to DC anytime soon? Let me know, we'll hit up a Nats game :)
Lebezniatnikov
Unfortunately no, I was just there for a five week internship on the Hill. I was able to catch the Sasha gig though, and three Nats games, so it was a good time. I was impressed by the Nationals though. They didn't even look like the Expos. And the fans were a lot of fun too. I'd love to go back to DC sometime - I'll drop you a pm if I do.

sweet yeah let me know. I'm going to try and make it out to every home game that I can.

And yeah you're right, they don;t look anything like the 'spos. Seems to me that the players have a boost of morale when they know they have 30,000+ fans cheering and screaming for everything they do.

will you see the nats on the road too?
Mebot
I don't know. it depends on the proximity and resilience of friends to go with. See i normally go on the spur of the moment cos i know i can head down and get a ticket for 7 bucks. Going on the road means planning it out, which isn't to say i will never do, i'm apathetic like that :p

But i won't rule a road game out. Only trouble is I would have to make it a weekend game, and weekends during the summer are precious to me. There's some games in Philly next month that I might be able to attend. We'll see.

For now, I'm just focusing on getting myself up to see the Twinkies. Though the Nats are playing much better atm.
