Do you have experience in internet Radio?

So yeah i'm the dude who runs that review website, the one in my signature. It turns out that we're going to launch our own internet radio station and are seeking one or two experienced internet radio people to manage the station. Currently starting with 100 slots @ 128k. This will be a pretty stedy stream running without the risk of going offline at anytime. This is a volunteer position so if anyone is interested it would be for the experience, however, as with all volunteer position at TC you do run the risk of getting paid in the future so that could be considered.

No its not that easy. I'm busy running the site and I need someone to keep up with new content a scheduling times. Personally, i have high standards and am going to want to newest music on there everyday.
Also, in the future we might be looking to add more streams and different channels so I would like to get someone in from the beginning who understands everything as opposed to getting someone to "catch up" later on.

| Shoutcast. The content will we probably get from a mixture of sources including buying it. |

| i helped out a couple times with my high school radio station. that was back when you just downloaded everything off napster and setup a playlist to run. is that what you're looking to do? just create a new playlist every day or so. |

While doing the basic mp3 playlist radio is easy there's certainly nothing original or interesting about that. It's comprehensible to do that on off hours but even then it's still very boring.
If I'm not mistaken you need someone to manage time slots guests special events and weekly shows. I've done that type of deal before but don't have the time or wants to do that right now.

Yeah i've had some time slots @ partyradio.ca live show server so i've got an idea of what to do. But ultimately I would like to have the new content managed by someone else as i'm pretty busy with all thats going on in the background of my site. Big updates comming soon.
Plus like i said before, i'd like to have someone here from the beginning. As we add more streams I don't want ot have to take the time to catch someone up to where they need to be, its easier to have someone in the beginning. Also, this will eventually turn into a bigger responsability and I dont want to overload myself.
Overall I think it'll be pretty exciting because you get to watch something you put work into grow and become successful. I will not lie, eventually I am going to turn this into a full business and those that are with me are going to beneifit. This will be sooner rather then later. I also have some other spots open aswell if anyone's interested, mostly in the writing team. |

That goes for anyone else too, you can never meet enough people nowadays. My goal for this radio isn't out of this world but rather plain and simple. I want this to be the best Trance Radio on the net. I know it will take a while to get anywhere near that point but my staff and I are dedicated people as such we will be celebrating our one year anniversey in a couple of weeks! |

Well im hoping to get into contact with some labels to get some promotional material, I think that should make the station a little less boring that your listening to stuff you can't even buy in the stores yet most of the times. |
