Windows XP and Cryptographic Service

Hey all,
I've had a problem with my computer for awhile now. One day, everything just seemed to go wrong on my comp. Norton stopped working and many websites kept asking me about Certificates along with Soulseek, etc etc. Finally I decided to install XPSP2 but Windows Auto Update doesn't work and when I try to manually do it, it says it can't verify my Update.inf file and to make sure my cryptographic service is on... anyone else had this problem and can anyone tell me how to turn on my crypto service, as I'm pretty sure it's already on.

| heh, one time my computer kept asking me for certificates. turned out my clock was dated a month ahead, so every site was expired |
