| Yes I agree that it would be a good warm up for Saeed Younan, but I would like to see Antoine Clamaran right until the end. Regardless, I will definetely be proceeding to BOA right after to kick it up just another notch. :-) |

Question:
So his style seems to be along the lines of Guetta, Angello, Ingrosso, Pautrat, etc...
So what would one categorize this style of haus? Seems to be fairly popular in france - but AFAIK french house is less bumpy, less crunchy, more vibraphone-esque, electric-piano-esque, loungy, mellow.
Lets play the "categorize the sound" game that everybody hates... ;)
To me - it's an electro-tribal-tech haus type of sound. crunchy electro-synth melody, tribal percussion with tech-influenced overlay elements.
Funky haus (as referred to earlier) - seems to conjure bits of "funk" music laid onto a big 4-4 kick - but is that the standardized reference label for the style?
If anything - based on where it tends to be super popular, played, and produced - new french haus seems to be appropriate. |

I agree with you Oldschool420.
He is most commonly compared to EricPrydz styles.
Also if anyone knows any BLACKSTROBE remixes, he's very similar to that sound too.
Can't frikn wait! |

Prydz's DJ sets would fit into the above mentioned dj's styles as well.
This should be a good night. |

Ah ha. Funny guy. :D Good one. ^5
In case you didn't realize - the brain works by referencing input based on like/known or unlike/unknown associations/references.
The ability to make those associations and formulate an appropriate response is the cornerstone of the thought process.
I.e. your eyes see a cylindrical object on a table and reference it to the category of “writing utensil”, further referenced to be a “pen”. Your brain decides to pick it up. Referencing past successful “picking things up” category of action within the “pen” realm, your brain remembers past motions and successes. The brain further instructs the hand to move towards the pen from left to right, up and down until the pen is within reach and gripped.
Humans communicate using categorization and references. This enables congruent and clear transfer of ideas and concepts.
One's brain categorizes this post as "English" allowing one to understand it (albeit in varying degrees).
OK USA. |
