i've had friends take classes in displacement robotics, they said its nearly impossible to imitate a human running because when you switch feet your body naturally displaces weight to the landing foot.
thats why all the robots you see have like track systems or wheels. so many of those movements in that video resemble exactly a humans, so they probably just computeramarized it ;) |

The video was pretty obviously fake, but you do get robots that can walk just now and running (realising that running means not touching the ground at all at some points) will be possible.
I think it's actually the mechanical things (servos and so on) that are holding up back in this respect rather than much else.
You also get "pogo stick" robots that bounch around on on stick that can move fast.
I found a set of clips of "cheap" (you can buy them) VSTONE robots, but you get reserch one that are far more advanced.

Think the main question is would you want to use robots in that way, war maybe, policing/peacekeeping no.
The logic processes for that will be far far far far far in the future, and we'll probebly be obsolete then (unless remote control is used but that's not what it looked like). :p |

easiest way to tell its a fake?
if its getting shot at, why the would it look away?
you'd just lose visuals
and if it gets shot anywhere its probably ed too |

The robot isn't real (obviously :p). I've seen the video before, I think it was a final year project for a Visualisation student at university or something, because I remember my housemate showing me the vid and admiring the visual effects (as he's a VFX guy himself).
