Bell work-to-rule? Does anyone actually know about this?

Way to go Bell employees. Have a work to rule but don't let anyone know about it.
Apperently the only people that know are the ones without service.
Was there anything extensive in the news about this? Because I must have missed it. |

It has been going on for about 2-3 months now. I believe it just deals with the technicians at Bell Entourage. |

yup. I moved into my place on May 1st, and they told me, that they can hook up my lan line, but if there had to be any onsite work, then there would be a delay.
Under my building (BCE Place downtown) the workers are handing out flyers and have some banners up. I barely knew what was happening, cause i just walked by. There were maybe 20 people down there. |

| The only reason I know is because there's a bell depot/office around the corner from my house.. The Techs have been standing in front of the building for months now... |

Gotta love Bell...idiots! I am not surprised about this at all...
someone in the office today was talking about this during a conference call but i didn't pay too much attention...I guess it's true then...wankers |

Bell has been firing people left right and centre lately...doing so much restructuring over the past 3 years...and rightfully so...half of them are a complete waste, just warming up the office chair...
It is unfair to many, but I think it's more than fair to most (they get a pretty nice package...)
The one thing I do feel sorry about is that they ed up the future leaders program that i was a part of :( |

bah...why deal with them at all.
when I move into my own place sometime next year, I won't even get a land line...I share a line with my roomate now and almost never use it.
Cellular service works out to be cheaper and more convenient...and won't VOIP be the next big thing anyway? |
