A celebrity is getting married, okay. What about the other thousand or so couples that are getting married today, tomorrow, etc.? Oh yeah, it's that annoying fascination people have with famous people.

/rant

On a side-note, I give it two weeks. :p

Haha, how did I know that someone was going to say that? :p There's a difference between being a fan/showing support and oggling over a celebrity and every tiny facet of their life, imo.

hehe right i know, sorry i just had to point out the obvious there... but it's our culture. We're part of a generation that reveres and idolizes celebrities on the same par as people idolized musicians and scientists and politicians a century ago.

something to do, i suppose, with relating oneself with well-to-do and famous people. to see where the top=run in society lies. Why, though? I have no idea...

Heh, yah. It never struck me until I started working. All I hear is people talking about celebrities, and all I see at the store I'm at are people buying a load of magazines on them, with the most pointless stories. I dunno, it just bugs me.
