| Just wondering if anyone has any info I can use regarding Yoji spinning at the Goodgreef party on June 11 in Liverpool...I want to stop by and check out the party, was wondering if anyone else from Canada is going to this...Like will I get in at the door etc.. |

I'm not from Canada (sorry! :nervous: ) but you will probably get in on the door, just make sure you arrive before 11.30/midnight i'd say. Last GG event @ Nation I went to was one of the best nights Ive ever had there (and I'm not even a "hard head" mainly)!
ALSO: on the very same night, Jon O'Callaghan (amazing producer and member of this very site...) is spinning @ SLIDE @ Garlands, which is £10 on the door and goes til 4am... Jump in any black cab and he'll take you to it, itl be no more than £5 if you're already in the city centre...

| I will be on my way from the train station in Liverpool, most likely to a hostel or something...are there any in specific that you could recommend that wouldnt be too far a ride to the GG party or maybe a general area that isnt too far...thanks. |

well ive never stayed in a hostel anywhere to be honest, but there's one on "wapping way" (A road along the river front in front of the albert dock).. its a few hundred yards down from the "formule 1" hotel (say this to a cabbie and he'll know where you mean)
if you get a place here its only like a 10 minute walk from Nation...
^^in the centre of that pic you can see "wolstenholme square"... thats where Nation is... if you need to ask someone for directions or get in a cab though, just ask for "cream"... most locals still know it as that...
^^on this pic, you see "WAPPING" (the big green road down the left).. if you're heading down on that road, the hostel thing i'm talkin about is on your left somewhere just before kings dock road.. if you're driving past just keep lookin to your left... its a new-looking building with big writing on the side saying "somethin somethin Youth Hostel" i think....
^^this pic is just a bit zoomed out (altho i cant get multimap to put the screen exactly where i want it :whip: ).. just to give you an idea where the venue is from the hostel... look at "Wapping" on the bottom left, and "Hanover street" for reference... this pic isnt zoomed in enough for the "wolstenholme square" location text to show up, but you can see its shape and it splits Gradwell/Parr street and is off of "Hanover street"

PS: all of this is only within like a 10/20 minute walk from Lime Street train station.. you should just buy a Liverpool A-Z in one of the shops at the station when u get off the train, and use the Index to find station on the map and go from there, or just ask someone who looks friendly :) |
