my mum is a dentist. graduated in 1994. she still owes $160,000. at first, it was $80,000. but if u go into default, the interest doubles or triples. so the original loan has increased two-fold. meaning we cant make any big purchases at all. |

I hate that. That is one of my biggest let-downs. I have never wanted to take out loans merely because I would be going through that action of work and study knowing that it isn't even for ME. Just as the same feeling of "I've got to pull a couple extra days, I just got a speeding ticket." I hate that.
She graduated in '94 and still .... how depressing. :(
My mom is trying to impound it in my head that the idea of a loan is to take it from a class college, therefore enabling you to receive the BEST of education and thus enabling you pay it off very rapidly with the upper skill job you receive due to going to a prestigious college with an outrageous tuition. I can't comprehend it yet. I'm putting it off... :nervous: |

my status atm is critical. I have to pay between £50 - £70 for telewest bill, i said i would so my mum would stop whinging that i dont pay keep, which is fair enough. Does anyone else over 18 have to pay to live at home? Suppose a tenner a week ain't too bank breaking.
I have agree with the above aswell, it's not so bad being skint, its a pain in the arse, but you can often enjoy yourself without money i.e. game of football with mates etc. But then u need a quid to buy a drink, and end up buying a pack of fruit pastilles and a bag of walkers thai sweet chilli sensations, possibly a few chomps :toothless |
