I'm wondering when DJ's play live at places do they record their own livesets or have some1 record them for them? I always see ex. Armin Van Buuren - Live at ICE in Las Vegas but i always wondered if it was possible get a liveset that he played in my own hometown. Its like downloading a picture of a DJ or taking a picture of that same DJ while your dancing 10ft from him.

95% of the time they dont, usually the stuff that gets on the net is recorded by a radio station be it local or otherwise. theres very few djs that will purposefully record their own set.

Nope, most of the time the DJs have no idea it's going on. It's the sound guys or promoters that usually record the sets. Sometimes it's just for personal use, other times they wind up online, for sale etc.

armin van buuren record his own sets? no, he doesn't record his own sets. in fact i would be highly suspicious if someone told me he wipes his own ass.
