| as rico mentioned...it sounds very fruityish....midi like(the 'music' that was available to us 10 years back)...but hey...my 'productions' sounded like that in the past as well...and i suppose with time...you'd only get better!.. |

| While the quality of the sounds aren't up to speed, the musicalityisn't bad at all. I really enjoyed Climax Zone.. I think, with some work, that would be a killer track! Learning to use the plugins properly is crucial. But I gotta say, this track has got charm! :D |

id agree with whoever said it was a bit 'midi-ish'...but climax zone is def your best..and the tune is actually really good...its a start towards trance sounding....

i gather from most of your replies that the worst part is the midi-ish sound.
let me stress again that im using FL3! also i dont know much about waveforms so i usually just arrange notes rather than adjust the sounds themselves.
so if anyone else has any constructive? criticism id love to hear it.

i m on dial up so i cant listen to your songs. anyways the best thing to do is find some vsts dont buy them for start unless you are serius. try some demos or ... w/e :toothless and try to improve the sounds instead of searching for the right preset. go to www.kvraudio.com and search for demo or free plugins... id recomend vanguard, superwave p8 (free but gr8 plugin), z3ta v-station and korg legacy the collection for when you have learned more things about sound design... and google for tutorials about compression reverb sound design and stuff. learn about filters. and if you are good at the musical side of production things will be easy very soon.
edit: there is an ebook. "how to make a sound" read it its gr8

HEY just letting you all know that i finally finished a song that i have been working on for a long time.
please check it out... its called breakthrough and its a lot more edm than my last submission :p

The impression i get is that you don't actually listen to trance at all.
This sounds like a midi file.
Granted, some neat little hooks and melodies in there.
I'm completely astonished that after 5 years you never felt the need to improve your sound. Using FL3 is no excuse. You have ALOT of reading to do my friend, read the stickies here and get yourself some decent samples. Then go read about VSTs. And if you're thinking about making this your career, go BUY FruityLoops, and go BUY a synth. Well, actually my views on that are if the software makes you money, you should buy it..... sooo, take that however you want.
Also, slow it the hell down, sounds like Tetris when you're about to lose.
