LOL |
not to mention plastic and put together by someone in south east Asia...
...I prefer leather... there's something sensual about putting on the skin of another animal :disbelief :disbelief |

Although I haven't bought/looked for Docs in many years, I'm sure many stores downtown still sell them...and some may still order you whichever ones you want from the U.K.
Groovy and Twinkle Toes (if they're still around) are two places that I can think of, off hand...maybe Black Market...but several more along Yonge St. (between Bloor and College) and along Queen (between University and Bathurst...even west of there too)
I used to have a sweet pair of 8-hole, black stitched ones...the best multi-purpose footwear ever...school, work, clubbing, etc., lol. |

There's a doc martens shop on Yonge st., somewhere between College and Bloor (how's that for narrowing it down!), on the West side.
Queen street has a few shops that sell them too, on the North side, around the City TV area... :D |

I will politely disagree that it's all about the yellow stitched ones ;) |

Try The Bay, I can't believe you have trouble finding them in Toronto.
Used to like them, but not anymore. Now that I look at them, i find them extremly unpleasant to the eye.
Also they don't last that long, what a shame for a shoe of that price. |

I could not disagree more.
I purchased my boots around 1996... and I still wear them. |

I used to see them in shoe stores along Yonge (Bloor - Spadina)
I used to have some tall pair a couple of years ago when I was into metal

I never ever saw the allure of those things. I always associated those shoes/boots with dirtballs and neo-nazi skinheads.
I guess I'm wrong! |

Dood....they're all over the place; just walk up Yonge or Queen.
They 'used' to stop distributing to Canada a few years back but have come back since then.
I've had a pair of these for years...

Luv ma Docs!!! :tongue2 |

| Never really liked Docs, seems so clunky and pretty plain for the price you're paying |
