Disco house borrows heavily from classic late '70's e discos and funk, and is indicative of the current shift toward music with strong hooks and melodies, and a comfortable familiarity. In England, this style of music is called Tesko - a hybrid of disco and techno. Attributes: Tesko uses a disco arrangements style, house rhythms, and a techno sampling technique. 120 to 130 BPM.

Thats probably my favourite track from that release. Silicone Soul - Los Nocturnos is great as well. |

CJ Macintosh and Harvey Essential mix from 1994
Early Pete Heller, namely terry farley and pete heller essential mix from 11/27/93
masters at work essential mix 2/16/97, it's less disco-y, but has that funk/soulful house feel that's in the genre
Also jusdging by the parts of what I have of a couple cassius essential mixes, he sounds pretty disco-y as well.
I can't recommend much more than that because back when disco house was big, the DJs would jump across genres in their sets so it's tough to find a single set playing nothing but that style.
And the recommendation of dimitri from paris is also a good one. |
