| i have been using fruity loops 5 now for two monts, i can make pretty muuch every sound apart from the awesome sub bass, not even a crappy one let alone the perfect sub bass of fred baker, i would like to know how to make a half decent sub bass so that i can make a complete tune and post it in the forum |

| what do you mean, taking a normal kick and putting it through a compressor, or making a real heavy bass in a vsti like vanguard and putting it through a compressor? |

| Well, I've never heard any Fred Baker songs but just use a simple 1osc synth and filter it down some and then compress it like hell. You can get some nice deep goa base like that. |

| mess around with the Sytrus preset "bass - synth", it's very good for subbass. |

using compression you'll be able to make your bass louder without it "over-amping". With your bass beatz try turning your low-end frequencies up on the E.Q then compress it just a little (turn the threshold level up and the amount down). |

| Put the peak controller fx on your kick, link it to your subbass channel, and play with the peak controller settings. |

thats how u usually make sub basses
i had this one sub bass and i used a sample and just ed around with it, its in one of my old tracks it was a en powerful sub :eyespop: |
