On Memorial Day, I was watching a special on Discovery about Operation Anaconda. At the end of the show when the credits were running, they played Tiesto, "A tear in the open". It was the vocals only, but I was really surprised to hear it.

Last night, I was watching TV and saw the trailer for some girlie movie called "The sisterhood of the traveling pants". In the background I heard PVD's "Time of our lives".

I thought it was pretty strange to hear these songs in this context. What about you guys/girls?

Maybe I should clarify...

I was not enjoying the trailer for the girlie movie. It was playing in the background and I heard PVD's "Time of our lives" playing so I looked up at the TV to see that silly girl movie.

I guess my question was, has anyone else noticed the use of trance in the media? (advertisments, TV movies, etc..)

Well the vocals from "A tear in the open" is sampled from some other song. Signum's "Cura Me" also sampled the same vocals as well.
