Tune in tonight from 8pm (GMT) at www.risefm.com where I’ll be choosing brand new tracks from John O’Callaghan, Inertia, Deep Dish and Kuffdam & Plant plus more from 8pm until 9pm. Then from 9pm until 10pm I’ll be joined by this week’s special guest, Finnish DJ and producer Jussi Soro who will be spinning an hours set for us.
Jussi is currently one of Finland's most in demand DJ’s having played for international brands such as Godskitchen, Sundissential and Ministry Of Sound as well as Finlands biggest clubs such as Hallmark, Millennium and Illusions alongside some of the biggest names in trance. 26 year old Jussi comes from Turku in Finland and has been awarded numerous accolades at the Finnish Club Awards, as well as maintaining residencies at Mental and Essence and producing under the names DJ Jussi, Jussi Soro and Miikka & Jussi.
Jussi’s musical style is influenced by progressive house, goa trance, techno and electro, and his first release on Five Am earlier this year was a collaboration with Miikka Leinonen entitled the ‘Miikka & Jussi EP’ which made record of the month in Mixmag. Jussi’s next release will be on the legendary ATCR in the shape of the Miikka & Jussi remix of Kyamoto’s ‘Stealth’. Check out his site at www.jissis.info for more details.
