Dan dan dan... what are we gonna do with you? :stongue:
I'm suprised no one mentioned vitamin E oil... that'd help also if you can find some! The yogurt thing is new to me, but makes sense... must be the beneficial bacteria or sumthing...
But man, once that burn goes away you'll have a niiiiiice tan afterwards... in fact, im jealous ;)
<--- still pasty white. |

Dan buddy, well, you can OFFICALLY count me in to join your gang.
Im BURNT AS HELL all all up adn down my arms, back of my neck and ESEPCIALLY the front and back of my shoulders and upper arms.
I mean, Ive been redder before, but this one comes pretty close.
Was out at lunch today from noon till 2pm and we were eating on a patio (and i of couse took off my shirt, thus i was only sporting a nice wifebeater) so i was just soaking up that amazing sunshine! and now im red as hell and steaming hot! i can feel the heat collecting under my shirt. its getting warm :D
im gonna try to find a digi cam so i can take a picture of how red i am currently.
I knew id get burnt, but wasnt planning on toasting myself this well... oh well, ive already coated myself in vasaline intensive care lotion (key for burns to keep them from peeling) and im pumped. this should mean ill be tanning from now on when out in the sun from now on

A sunburn keeps on getting worse after a few hours, you just keep cookin' :( |
that is very true
The whole reason behind that is a sunburn is actually a chemical burn
Normal skin is naturally acidic....but when you expose it to UV...it goes alkaline. That's why a sunburn is always worse about 2-4 hours after you get out of the sun. It's the alkalies building up in the skin causing the burns (that's why the vinegar route works....forces the skin to be acidic again) |

hmm chemical eh? I never thought about that.
Perhaps that's why the dairy solutions seem to work.. I once took a cool bath with milk when I had a sunburn and found it really soothing and softening. It must be the lactic acid that makes it better.. |
