Came down with a bout of food-poisoning last night, and regretfully I could not attend this party.
For those who went, how was it? |

| Mind you, the sound was ty, and when you're listening to techno (minimal, especially) that makes a big big difference. |

Yea, can't listen to Hawtin at work on account of the crappy speakers... I threw on a set of his this morning at home (cause i was in Hawtin-withdrawl, from missing the gig) and the much better speaker set up made all the difference. |

Review................
MUSIC - EXCELLENT! (Matthew Johnson "marionette") fav tune played
FRIENDS I WAS WITH - EXCELLENT! (B4K-OZ, TRICKDADDE (his girl VAL)
MIXING - HORRIBLE!!!! (I would like to think - equipment issues....)
CROWD - SCARY/NOT FUN/WEIRD.......thank GOD Erika Kelly was there....crowd vibe sucked MAJOR!!!! More fun outside having smokes than being inside. People in VIP (who were you again/why were you there.......????:rolleyes: )
STAFF (DOORMEN) - VERY RUDE/ARROGANT - RH spun until 4:00 then we were basically told to get the f out.....:whip: NO PROBLEM BUDDY!!
making people wait half hour so they could jack the price from 15-25 bucks after 11:00.......LAME!!!!!!
KABIN - THE CLUB - way too hot - sweatbox - by 11:30 - stairs leading onto dancefloor - TREACHEROUS......and I thought the BOA steps were difficult to manouever at times.....suprised someone didn't break their neck!!!! Will NOT go to this bar AGAIN....unless for a VERY good reason.....:mad:
in hindsight - money could have been way better spent :whip: plus a severe lack of TOTA presence.......damn you AWAKENED ADDICT and others that didn't show....half the reason why I went.....:(
I usually don't flame on clubs/night at all.......this one night in particular has left a bad taste in the mouth for sure.......you guys did not miss much - IMHO :D |

your temporary ailment - a cure for a night otherwise wasted if you had gone.......I would rather have been worshipping the porcelain goddess with ya.....;)

Richie was awesome but the needles jumped at least a dozen times I counted for both he and Greg Gow! Too much humidity in that sweatbox.
Club was snobbish and way over priced on a weekday. For 25 beans cover and 6 bones a beer ($7 with tip for the hottie bartender) they should at least turn on the facking AC!!!
Sound was NOT all that bad have heard worse in bigger clubs.
