| Black or not, they could have detained her by themselves. I think using a tazer was way out of line. She didnt have a weapon nor was she on drugs or drunk. Thats just bull. Shes one freaken girl against two large men. |

| girl or not, she could have a weapon concealed inside her car, or something else similar. you wouldn't be much happier if they had maced her, or even physically removed her from the car(endangering themselves in the process) |

Yes I totally understand where you are going with that, BUT I have seen many other instances where cops are more than able to sucessfully detaine a persone without resulting to a tazer. I know she was running her mouth and thats probably what pissed the cops off. But they have to control themselves a little better than that. |

usually if someone is in a car and an officer tells them to get out, and they don't get out, the officer points a gun at them. that's when they usually get out. that's probably the more successful detainments you've seen. some people still don't get out even when a gun is pointed at them so it has to be used.

it's not that she was running her mouth, it's that she repeatedly refused to cooperate. the officer looked like he was in control of himself, especially when he told her to get out of the car five or six times before finally tazing her. |

| well thats not what I have ususally seen happen with traffic stops. I trully believe this was overboard. And I think the rest of America does too. Thats why the media is making such a big about it. They air all kinds of stuff on TV all the time, with bad guys getting kicked around by the cops, but this insident sure is getting a lot of press. |

The media media is always going to want a story that attracts atension. There are a lot of things in the world I havent learned yet. But at the age of 22 I can safely say this modern media is 99% bull. And the typical people who believe it are equally dumb. If anything is wrong with our country it is the media giving us false information... |

As for this situation the cop gave her plenty of opportunities to comply. He asked her to step out of the car, he asked her to hang up the phone. Should he have waited for her to finish her conversation on the phone? Should he have met her demands and apologized to her for pulling her over? Should he put his life in danger knowing that she could have a gun or weapon in the car just waiting for him?
No that his job his to arrest her. Take her to the station and complete his duty.. Not to sit and arround with her putting his life in danger. |

have you ever mouthed off to a cop like that? Then continue to mouth off with a gun held at your head, with a threat of it being shot?
Its common sense... He gave her warnings all she had to do was obey... If a cop has a taser gun pointed at me, you can bet that if he tells me to jump I will ask"how high"... |

I agree the amount of force was excessive. In my neck of the woods if you refused to cooperate they would write you up a ticket. Still don't want to, then they'd call backup and hall your ass down to jail.
But and this is a big but I live in a low crime area where they don't run into ppl packing heat. Now when I've dealt with cops in a bad area they treat minor situations a lot more seriously. They could pull over a guy for speeding and he could whip out a gun and shoot them. They can't tell who's harmless and who's not. |

| dude are you kidding me? After he tazed her once, she fell out of the car and was laying on the floor. He Tazed her again cause she was too freaked out and couldnt put her freaken hands behind her back. She was layin on the floor!!! Now you tell me how she was endangering them? |
