I hope you guys don't use car chargers for your cell phone. The more you charge your batt, the faster it will die.
Plam urges me to charge my Treo as much as I can, so the batt will last longer. B/C it's Li-On batt. I personal don't believe that lie ... they want my Treo to die faster and it's a internal batt too. |

| Most of the times Battery isn't covered under warranty and is only replacable free of charge if its DOA or dies within 90 days of purchase....Palm is clearly trying to rip u off... |

Plus definately do NOT buy aftermarket car chargers they burn out your battery in no time!
If you buy the mfg. suggested charger it will last much longer.
Plus you still should fully dis-charge your battery and charge it fully each time before use. Despite what they may tell you when you buy the phone! |

Li-Ion batteries exhibit no memory effect. Full discharge will not provide significant performance benefits (for Li-Ion, not NiCad). |

To maximize battery life, one should only charge it when the battery is completely drained (or when it says "lows battery").... my $0.02.
**edit**
Not sure if this applies to Li-Ion or NiCad batteries :D |

| To maximize battery life you should keep it on your charger 24/7. |

My cell phone have a Lithium-ion battery. I do half charges, charge when its 3/4 full, break every 'rule' in the book. I do same with my digital camera batteries. And all 5 batteries (1 cell, 2 cameras) all work 100% of the day I got them.
If it is a lithium-ion battery in your Palm, I wouldnt worry about your charging patterns.
Trust me I sell electronics for a living, I'm paid to know this ;) |

Oh good, my iPod is a Li-ion battery, so im in no danger the of lowering its life expetancy by charging it at teh end of each day regardless of how much life is left in it. |

| Li-Ion batteries have built-in circuitry that controls charge amount (which avoids overcharge), temperature and prevents battery memory. |
