any suggestions?
i want 6.5's in the front and 6x9's in the back
i don't want to get a sub and amp and that whole deal, i just want some great speakers with crisp solid sound that can produce a good bass without the need for a sub.
i've been looking into some infinity stuff lately. |

Alpine or HK
I've got 6 HK speakers in my MINI and it sounds pimp (I've also got 2 HK subs) which make a huge huge difference. |

Aftermarket speakers that pump out bass are far and few between, they're all designed to be used in conjunction with a subwoofer and amp combo.
That said, if you're just getting good speakers, get some Infinity Perfect series speakers. You can't go wrong with them, I absolutely adored them in my old car. |

| Lightning makes some sick speakers. Harmon Kardons are amazing though, sound quality is crystal even at seriously high volume levels. |

MB Quart
I dont think speakers alone will give you the bass you want. They will be better that stock speakers yes, but youll need a sub if you really want to feel some bass. |

Even 1 10" sub can do wonders, my friend had that in his CRX and it was perfect, anymore and he would have shattered all the windows.
Sub-wise, JL and Kicker are the best out there |

i wouldn't mind a system, but if i had to get an amp sub speakers, i'd have to cheap out big time, so for the time being i thought it'd be nice to get some good speakers and down the road maybe get a sub and an amp.
i prolly can't afford more then $300 right now, thats why i'm just looking at speakers. unless its hot, i'm sure no one could recommend a decent system for that price lol |

Eclipse Point Source 5.25s and 6x9s have rocked my since 98.
That being said, for any quality, you'll at least want an 8 or 10" sub, and kill ALL of the bass in your front stage...they're not made for it. They're built for mids and highs - anything else and you'll crack 'em. |

Do NOT buy alpine or JVC!
They used to be good but not they are just mainstream. |

| If your budget is inifinite Alpine offers some hardcore top end equipment... Their mid range stuff is not terribly impressive as compared to similarly priced products. |
