what type of music does faithless play?

just wondering coz i like this as well, especially insomnia and God is a DJ..
is it techno? coz it sounds like techno... i m not that familiar with type of electronic music |

its just electronica
coz their style varies greatly from song to song
they arent techno nor trance
altho ferry's remix of why go is trance :p
also apparently sasha has remixed insomnia, no confirmation on it yet :eek: |

Insomnia, God is a DJ, We Come 1, Salva Mea, Tarantula, What About Love, I Want More and all their other big dancefloor tunes are Anthem House, or Stadium House (which is what The KLF called it, and they invented the genre). Their other stuff is a melange of mature pop, downbeat hip-hop and house.
The tracks you're talking about sound a lot like trance, but they aren't. Faithless have always referred to them as house anthems. This stems from them starting out when trance didn't sound like today's trance, and so their stuff was influenced by house. |

I saw Faithless at Alexandra Palace a couple of months ago on their UK tour, easily the best concert I've ever been to! The atmosphere they create is just amazing, and they've consistantly released great music for 10 years now... buy their greatest hits album - Forever Faithless ;)! |
