i don't listen to the radio ever or watch mtv or anything so i'd only heard like 20 seconds of it before i finally downloaded it two weeks ago
needless to say, i liked it a bit, but two things pissed me off about it and made me sick of it real fast
1 - her voice. i know it goes with the theme of the song and makes sense, and i give her props for doing it, but its annoying as
and 2 - the guitar loop they got goin, nice simple thingy, 4 beats each. its not. ing. on. beat. its like ever so slightly off. now i know that having things syncopated is huge with the whole 'dirty' sound thats popular these days, but that kind of syncopation works best with snares/claps, and moderately well with other percs. but the guitar riff? just sounds ing terrible :whip::whip::whip: |
