Hello everyone i have a big dilemma.
Today i have 2 cdj100, and i want to replace them to something better.
i'm playing Deep House, Progressive house music.
i know that the pitch control on the cdj 1000 is 0.02 in the 6 %
and in the biggining i was sore that i'm going to buy it.
but when i sow the CDX and went to check it, i rellay like it!
the jog is just wonderful!, the looping system is seems to be very good and it's sorlly an good looking cd player.
but i have to know if i can get the seem smooth mixing?
j@y
its .5
they feel great and the loop machine is awwwsome but they dont stick as much as the cdj1000

it probably would have made a little sense to check the pitch step when you went to test it out. lol, joke

but anyway, the pitch step is not .5%, its .1% and thats pretty ty for a cdj that was released in 2004. You will constantly have to adjust during your mixes.

I've had my CDX for a while now and have never had any problems mixing with it.

When I first got it I had only mixed with turtables so I just used it as I did them, sometimes I do have to adjust mid mix but I do when I'm mixing on my decks as well so the pitch increasements has never really been an issue for me.

Not really a favourite amongst the people on here but I would recomend it to anyone, its a good piece of kit I've had loads of fun with mine.

what about the cdj-200? I think its pitch is 0.2 as well and way cheaper (unless you wanna scratch...)

I don't have the cdx's, I have the model right under it, the axis 9. However...it's got the same pitch increment of .1%. It's slightly annoying, I wish it would be at least .05%. .1 is fine, you can definitely mix with it, but sometimes you can't get the mix spot on and you have to adjust very slightly if you do pretty long mixes (like above a minute or two).

Hope that answered your question.

Sorry, if you've ever used a CDJ 200, you know that on 6% it's pitch accuracy is .04%

I was playing with the CDJ 200 in guitar center and wondered why it went up by .04's

The CDJ 1000 goes up by .02's

It's definitely .02...I checked.

I've never actually played with the 200 though..maybe it just doesn't display the fact that it's going up by .02s?
