Friend, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears...
Let me begin by saying I feel I am the lowest of the low when it comes to the liberal arts...indeed I follow the Socratic way of life and proclaim my wisdom by knowing nothing
Certain external factors in my life have forced me to abide my time in the Los Angeles area as I attend a certain graduate masters in business program
Los Angeles is an interesting city...filled with dynamic sights and sounds, but I must be blunt. The many people I have encountered in my nocturnal revelries astound me. For example, as an invitee to an exclusive party in Hollywood I met your typical silicone-enhanced blonde. Her aspirations are droll; what aspiring harlot in tinsel town doesn’t want to be a model or famous actress?
Anyway what baffled me is her common sense. During a rather menial conversation she stated that the population of the US was 6 billion....I can leave it at that
Well I have befriended other aspiring "models" and "actresses". I have met 84% of them at local restaurants and bars. Sadly they wait tables and serve drinks at minimum wage while the luster of fame sparkles in their eyes. What fallacy this is...it's rather sad to see the conditions in which these imbeciles live in. They forgo once promising professional careers to make it "big". Sadly they probably slept through statistics and missed the part about how only 1 in a million could reach the status of say a Julia Roberts or a Catherine Zeta Jones
Anyway, I am baffled as to what sort of consolation I can give to several of these lost souls? Every week they come by lamenting their pathetic position in life and I am at a loss as to what to say. I will give a recent example...one aspiring model...moved here 3 years ago. After several; casting calls and photo shoots, she can barely get by. Her position has become so desperate that she is now entertaining notions of entering pornography. Either that or she becomes the little mistress "bitch" of some 50-60 year old obese producer...As of now she strips at a Hustler join in some ghetto
Actually I am sick of these mindless dolts...but they come by the boatloads every day... |

| have you ever thought that maybe other people just have different goals than you? you cant look at a bum on the street and judge him by calling him a worthless piece of human trash....who knows...maybe, juST MAYBE its his goal to beg for 10 dollars today! WhO knows!?1 and if people meet their goals then good for them. yes you might think some people are shallow/dumb/etc/whatever. just do your own thing and thats it |
