alright. I am buying a new mixer, dunno what to get though. i was think a mixer + efx5oo.

I was think of getting the djm300 with the efx500, both of these are about 760 euro. Cheaper then getting a 600, but is it better just going for the djm 600?

Second on the list is the Vestex PCV275 at 407 euro, with the efx its 829euro. STupid question, but the efx500 will work with the 275 yea?

Also whats the difference between the PCV 275 and PCV180? on the chemical record site, the 275 was more expensive but the special offer its now cheaper then the 180? :conf:

Or can someone think of a thrid opition? at the minute i have about 400 to spend and i need a new mixer soon enough, thats why i am thinking of getting a mixer then a efx instead of having to wait to get a 600.

Any comments/suggestions on other equipment would be great aswell.

My third option for you would be the Denon DN-X1500. Quality mixer and a much better option than the DJM-600. It also has the effects send/recieve that will work with the EFX-500 to the best of my knowledege.

i just got a PCV 275, and im absolutly in love with it. you can get them for good prices now since they have been out for a while. and i also got the rotary kit for it, but havent had time to install it yet.

the PCV does have an FX loop with 1/4" ins and outs so you can definitly run an EFX500 through it. it has send and return levels for the loop also.

I move to choice 3... Go the denon it offers more creativity and go for an efx processor later.

...and i wouldnt trade mine for anything :D

I have a Denon xm-1500, and I think the sound that comes out of it is tinny...It's very hollow sounding. Anyone agree? I want xone-62 or xone-92, biiiiiig price difference between those two.

hmmm the denon is 800 odd euro, must get my thinking cap on.

i have a 275 and LOVE it.

i do not use it with effects though but if you search I dont think people are too happy with how the effects sound through it.

the 275 is only cheaper because they are on clearance. a year ago you couldnt touch one for under $500.

the biggest difference is the 180 does not have level indicators. i can not see buying a mixer without level indicators.

the FX loop on the 275 sounds great, nice high quality 1/4" ins and outs. but the FX are only gonna sounds as good as the processor you are using nd that goes for any mixer.

i could never get the fx loop on my 275 to sound as good as it should..? or at least it doesn't sound good enough for the results i want. i usuualy have my FX unit hooked up on the master signal. sure it cuts out some things to do, but i would rather have it sound good. plus if you are good with it it doesn't cut out too many opportunities.

the 275 is a ing amazing mixer, far and away the best for the price and incredibly hard wearing. mine is still as good as the day i bought it and i ing hammer mixers.

having said all that, and seeing that the denon is on your list, go for the denon :toothless i haven't used it yet (GGRRRR!!) but from what i hear it really is a stonking mixer packed full of great features which open up so many avenues of mixing. its always very handy to have a stand-alone FX unit though.. look to save up and get one anyway ;)

275 is fantastoc- for the money its very very hard to beat.

I also dont like having the EFx on send/return...and i hook it over the master too.
