Colette at Club Ice Las Vegas REVIEW

I figured I would do a review of the club since I was there on Friday while in Vegas. Donald Glaude the resident wasn't there that night, but Colette from Chicago (I believe thats where she's from) was there. I met up with Boomer and some of his friends, who were all very nice. We got there at the perfect time and avoided the ridiculous long lines. The first room, which is the only room open at first, plays hip hop. No major visuals except for a projection screen on the wall. Its a pretty big room, with a dj booth right above next to the bar. You can also see into the main room from there. After a little while they open up the main room, which had great visuals all over, God's kitchen stuff all over, amazing lighting, and the sound system sounds great. Its loud but not so stupidly loud to where you cant hear the person next to you. It was perfect.
There is the main bar, which is also a big room, then you walk down a few steps onto the dance floor, which is smaller, but a perfect size for big events. The dj booth is nice and low so you can see all who is in there. There are 2 huge projection screens that switched from different visuals and the live shot of the booth. There are girls dancing above the dance floor, and around them is one of the vip areas. Beyond the main room is a loungey type room with another bar, and couches and chairs throughout. It is definately one of the nicest clubs Ive ever been to, and I would go again the next time I am out there for sure.
Colette definately kept that place going. She played some of the best house music I've ever heard. What is so unique about her is that for different tracks, she sings along with the music into the mic. Everytime she sung people were just going nuts. She created such an amazing vibe in that place with her voice. I dont know whether she writes her own lyrics to go with such tracks, but it was great. We stayed a few hours, then boomer took me to see a couple hotels and casinos I hadnt seen yet. Then I went straight back to catch my plane. LOL no sleep, who needs it??
I would definately see her again if I had the opportunity and I recommend anyone to see her if she comes near you. I took some pics and 3 vids. I will post the vids once they are hosted. Thank you boomer for the fun times. I know the pics are a little big. I forgot to change the setting on my camera.

collette was there hellllll yeah now thats house music..... thats my kind of house.... shes great saw her during wmc........ singing as she spins and shes fine....... :D

seems like Ed does the tour for his guests while visitng..
i have the same tour and almost the exact same pics from when i was there in Jan..
including that same hallway at the venition...
i bet though you didnt run into any CWC's in Vegas..;)

great pics though... Edward you need to shave.. i guess you did grow a beard... we were supposed to grow beards for PvD last November..

haha, no CWC's this time around. And yes i needed to shave :wtf: thats the first thing I said when I saw these pics. :D
and teh venitian was a requested visit, but teh hard rock was a suggestion from me. Too bad they had the oakie displayed blocked off. and I was just trying to remember all the cool stuff we saw in the venetian, cause I never go on the strip unless people visit. :wtf: |

If she is in jax I highly recommend you guys near there go see her. Yes the Venetian was a request, I wanted to see the ceiling change from night to day, although because we were there at 3 am the stores were blocked off but I still got a few nice shots of it, and the Sistine Chapel looking ceilings. The hotels there are so over the top and amazing. I can post a few pics if you guys want to see.
Here are the vids I took. They arent the longest vids because the memory card stops after 30 seconds (Im getting a bigger one with some of my winnings from vegas hehe). I hope you guys like. :) Thank you boomer for hosting them. ;)

| Colette Rocks!! Yeah shes from Chicago, I'm from Detroit, and she used to spin there quite often, I'm going to see her in Chicago in a few weeks I can't wait. I'm glad to see someone from SE thats actually heard of her, I wanted to see her in Charlotte a few weeks ago, but nobody would go with me. :( |
