| oh come on power abuse?? you think at that heated moment they all said to him to put the knife down they arnt gonna sit there and discuss who will shot and when, at that point a cops life is priority at that circumstance. Now if one cop shot him in the leg or tazed him being that he could be on drugs or what not and for some reason he still got to cop and stabbed him before he was shot again. Now ur left with a dead cop which could of been prevented. Face it folks the guy had sufficiant amount of time to say ok drop the knife or ill be shot, yet he charged the cops with the knife there actions were justified. Many people love to bash what cops do and there intentions but yet i can guarentee every single one of you wouldnt hesitate to call them for help when your in a time of need. Just my opinion. |

well the guy acted stupid, but still he deserved jailed, not death. police officers are training in those situations to "Neutralize" suspects and there are many technologies they can use..My father is a retired cop so I know the drill. If that fails there was still the aforementionned solution of shooting him in the leg or something..
The guy was propably not totally conscient of what he was doing to act that wrecklessly so to me thats not a reason to shoot him dead.. |

Bull. There was no time to "neutralize" the suspect. He was charging them with a knife. In order to neutralize him they would have needed to use a tazer or pepper spray. I doubt they even had a tazer within reach, and pepper spray would hardly slow him. Shooting for the leg is a difficult shot and also doesn't guarantee putting down your suspect.
The cops did exactly what they were trained to do, and acted in all legality. End of discussion. |
