Hey guys, please take a few minutes to download and check out the first liveset I've done using vinyl! I got my first set of decks 3 days ago, and have really been trying hard to learn and get better as fast as I can (and I really don't think I'm too bad), so any comments and criticism you could give would be greatly appreciated :)
Thanks very much
Alex

btw I'm very aware of the less-than-perfect mix into the last track. The parents came in and made me turn my speakers RIGHT down >:( haha |

Not too bad.
Few pointers:
1. Keep gains in check. Couple of times, the track sounded dead. Turn up the trim just a little or EQs, to compensate.
2. Too many quick transitions. Let the music flow together and blend longer for a deeper effect.
Keep practicing too! |

Cheers for the reply!
what's a reasonable length for a transition? 8 bars? 16? |

| According to me, 64 beats is a good transition and if you can 128 bring a lot of fun and push the technique to a natural way... |

I pretty much agree with that.. The mixes I do are useually between 1:30 to 3:00min long, just depends on what im playing and the track |
