Looking for a mid-range 4 Channel Mixer

I currently sport a Numark DXM-06. I enjoy the FX, and the quality of the mixer itself. My only gripe is the 2 channels. I am moving into 3 source techno. A 3 channel mixer would do the job, but I am thinking a 4 channel would be better, becuase a 3 channel mixer often adds the mic in the 3rd channel, and I could switch sources a whole lot better without having to change the phono/line switch.
Of course the DJM-600 is an excellent choice, but for someone more budget minded, what mixers are out there. I could afford between 300-500 or so. |

| I have the same problem as you, im in the market for a new mixer. I just sold my PMC 170a mixer cause i thought the sound quality was complete on it. and plus i want a 4 channel mixer but don't want to finance or have the money to buy a 600 which i am aiken for. |

| Vestax VMC004? No particular features like fx etc., but surely the best 4-channel budget choice? |

| i'm kinda in the same situation as you guys. i've been looking into the technics shmz-1210 mixer, but i haven't found enough info on it anywhere. might be that i'll go for something more expensive after all if i won't get enough info on the technics one. |

| The Vestax VMC004 looks pretty nice actually, at only around $300 retail, it looks like a good buy. I will give it a further look. |

Numark 200FX Rackmount Mixer with Alesis Effects
$299.95
Doesnt look half bad, only that its pretty big, and looks kinda cheapy. Alesis FX are good. [thats what is in the DXM-06] |

You wont find many good quality 4-channel mixers for less than $500, unfortunately. I would recommend the ECLER SMAC PRO40, which is a great 4-channel mixer, but unfortunately, its been discontinued.
You'll have to step up to either a Pioneer DJM, ECLER NUO5, Denon DNX-1500, or A&H XONE:62/92 |

If you really are willing to spend $500....i'd just save up an extra $100 and go for a denon 1500 or the djm.
I got my denon new, from an authorized dealer, for $630 i believe. |
