So you had your ever so special Gumball 3000 a few weeks back. Well Saturday was the start of the 2005 Players Run. 75 of the worls most exotic cars "cruise" from Seattle to San Diego and then over to Las Vegas.
I pushed my luck to the limit yesterday. ÊI was behing a yellow lambo Diablo SV going about 130 and then slow back down to 80 for traffic. ÊAnd as luck would have it, there is a cop right behind us a few seconds later signaling us to pull over.
I pull over on the bike in behind the cop car, and the lambo in front. ÊThe cop says to me that he will be right with me and to sty there. ÊSo i have my gloves and helmet off and all my info out. ÊI see the cop writing on something when he goes to talk to the lambo. ÊDidn;t look like a ticket though so i wasn't too worried. ÊThen the lambo leaves and he comes talk to me. ÊBasically asked me why i was going so fast with those cars, and tells me to slow down after taking my plate number.
About 1 mile down the road a Lambo Murcialago comes flying up behind me in the left hand land. ÊSo i speed up to stay with it and he signals for me to slow down. Ê Then he signaled to me he wants to race, but to wait for a sec. ÊSo his wife is s scrambling to grab their video camrea and then he says to go. ÊNot a very conventional way of signaling but he took off so i had to play catch-up. ÊI rode the first gear wheelie out, because we started at about 40-50. ÊHe's about a car ahead, and from there i reel him in and at 140 i shut down with 2 cars on him. ÊI expected more out of the diablo replacer, but hey we had to slow down because we were coming up to cars.
At Exit 5 I turned back around instead of continuing on with them to crater lake.
So my first kill with the bike is a Lambo Murcielago.

After that I pulled into the next gas station and was about to turn back around and go home. As luck would have it, a Silver Ferrari 360 Modena, Black Lambo Gallardo, Black SRT-10 Pick Up, Porsche 911 GT3RS, Porsche 911 CarreraS, RennTECH Mercedes SL, Subraru WRX STi, and Porsche 996 turbo all pull in about 1 minute after I got there. I alked with them for a while until they were about to leave again and the drivers of the CarreraS , SRT10 truck and Gallardo asked me if iI was going to join them on the trip down toOregon. When presented with an opportunity like this you never pass it up. So I killed 2 hours of my life riding along with some of the finest cars ever made. We hit traffic and were stopped on the freeway, so I decided to part ways there.
I took the nearest exit to get gas and head back for home. After i finished filling up, a Yellow Ferrari F550M pulled in. *please read the following news artical to get the story about his ticket*

He said that they had the freeway STOPPED to catch them for going 85 in a 70 :whip: They were waiting for about an hour to get them. Ever since they left Seattle, the police were sitting there waiting for them.
Very cool guy none the less. He was more excited to hear about my bike than i expected. He told me that he bought a 1987 Ninja 900 Brand new because of the top gun movie.:haha: Who thought that overly rich people could be so cool to talk with. |

...A trooper in Lewis county said one of the cars he stopped, a Porsche, was outfitted with a police scanner, video equipment (which he claimed was streaming video live to Las Vegas), GPS unit, and communications devices to stay in contact with the other cars. The driver claimed some of the vehicles were outfitted with devices to jam police radar.... |

only 75 cars there? rubbish! :p
big respect for racing a bunch of nice cars tho :D its not everyday that someone can say that there 1st kill was a Murcielago :cool: |
