Here is my submission for the remix competition they were holding over at www.nrgmusic.com
Since my remix submission didn't win anything, I figured I'd throw it up here for you all to give a listen. I didn't expect to win the remix competition as I entered it more for the learning experience because 1) I've never done a remix before and 2) I've never used vocals before.
Please feel free to tell me whatever you think. The original mix was pure cheese so I thought I would scrap the tune completely and just use the vocals. The vocals are horrible IMO, but I wanted to use them for the sake of working with vocals seeing as it was my first time. If anyone likes this track enough for a non-vocal version, I can post a link for the dub as well. Thanks for listening.

I'm really liking this track. It's full of uplifting good vibes. Usually I don't care much for these kind of vocals but this one doesn't bother me so much. The synthlines are really cool. I'd like to hear some more of your tracks if that's alright.

This is sounding very proggish in the intro. Nothing very overpowering. Just straight up trance.
You're right. These vocals are cheese. You do a good job with them, IMO.
I can't think of anything I found that I didn't like. It's a very high-quality track, IMO. |

This is an amzing track. The vocals just fit very well into the mix!
Good bassline and drumwork. Nice and cool FXs.
Pro sounds!
Maybe a cool pad is missing in the song somewhere but I could be wrong.
Anyway this track is far from beeing cheesy.

This is ing awesome man. Kudos to you for producing a tune around some pretty e vocals, it has to be said. Though, I cant help thinking that they would sound alot more listenable with some reverb or phasing.
Anyways, awesome quality. How did you not win? Were you competing against Tiesto or summin? :) |
