i have a home stereo pioneer receiver that's pushing two cerwin vega 12" tower speakers, two rear speakers and one center channel speaker. my mixer has a built-in amplifier and has two monitor speakers.
i hooked up my mixer to my receiver using rca's so i had the home stereo speakers going for the people we had over to listen to and the two small monitor speakers for myself. but everytime after just a couple seconds the receiver would cut the volume of the home stereo speakers to almost no volume at all and i got "overload" flashing on the led of the receiver. i've never had this problem before, has anyone else had this problem? what do i do? |

also the receiver still works fine for everything else, xbox, tv, dvd, cd player, etc. it's just with the mixer, is it because of the mixer's built-in amp? if so, what can i do as a work-around? |

Did you happen to plug into the Phono input on your stereo?
Did you try running it with a lower output volume on your mixer? |
