Hi Guys,
Just wonna take a piece of your collective wisdom,
Im running Logic 5.5.1, creative audigy platnum soundcard(i know its not the best), 768 ram, pentium 3 2.6,
Im having severe problems with ASIO, when im running 6 channels (4 audio and 2 vst's,both atmosphere)I keep getting a system overload message but when I bring the tune in about a minute when I have an additional 6 audio tracks and 4 vsts running (10 audio and 6 vst's) ir runs ok,
I've tried messing round with the settings of the drivers that came with the sound card with no success and i downloaded the asio4all asio driver and again no success,
Can anyone help me, is their any generic settings that i should be running, is their any other drivers that I should be using or is it time to bite the bullet and get a new sound card and or PC
Thanks Guys

I've tried everything,
Whats the best settings to have for your drivers, in relation to Max Scrub Speed, Scrub response, process buffer range, buffer delay.... |

hmm selecting between asio mme and directx may make a difference ... when i get the same scenario i would isolate what is making the cpu spike, solo it and bounce it down to a wave file and turn off the offending vsti.
Nowt wrong with an SBlive ... although getting more memory is never a bad thing .. the more the merrier and its nice and cash friendly too ... although i been hearing logic audio 5 for the pc cant handle above 1gb of memory and peeps with more have to take some out to make it work :( |
