I've been recruiting the old geezer tekheads to get off their asses for this one.. should be an Ottawa contingent representin'.. some in Montreal too (not sure who on here though).
Clarke is really the only one I am anxious to see this time, but I can't knock the lineup since at least the Guv is actually booking a mini techno-fest.
here I have forgotten what a double bill is. ;)
in other techno news.. the frickin ADVENT are playing Chicago June 24th!! sucks no Canadian pit stops. :(

nah, not dead.. but in a 2 year+ slump for sure.. just look at the crowd freakin' over Liebing's set at Swirl not long ago.. just one example that people do still 'enjoy' it here. ;)
I have my own theories.. not going to bother regurgitating the same ish now though.
Anyway.. these things come in cycles.. techno is very much alive in the rest of the world. just not Canada.. or much of the US. |

uhhh.. ya.. hate to be jaded and all.. but in the glory days any given weekend there was a Liebing and then some playing in the city.
I agree with Malek.. it's Aria that's changed as far as bookings go. -But in any event regardless of bookings, Montreal is and always has been a hotbed for techno djs, producers and labels.
Toronto will be fun though for sure.. can't wait :) |

I was planning on taking the express train, leaving 5pm Thursday, arriving 9:15 in Toronto. :)
