Atmosphere And Trilogy Automation With Cubase Sx

Hi people, help is greatly needed!!!
I have Atmosphere and Trilgoy and would like to use automation on both with Cubase SX. I know that you can't automate the same way, ie press Write, automate, then press Read. Also I have the chart with all the CC # corresponding to each knob on the plugins. Now what do i use to actually automate this? I can configure the knobs on my midi keyboard to be assigned to the appropriate CC but then i still can't use the Read Write functionalities right?
Basically, what do you use to automate these two plugins.

You automate it from within the midi file.
At the bottom of the piano roll screen for the midi file, there is the velocity. You enter the velocity amount for that specific note. On the left of the velocity area, there is a drop bar. That drop bar should have velocity written on it, but you can change it from velocity to antoher function. These are the CC numbers. Some of them are labeled, other are numbered. Use the chart you have with all the CC numbers on them to sort out which ones to use. Once you have the right number up in the velocity lane, just draw in the automation, or use your midi controller. Just press record and turn the dials. If it is set up to send the right CC number, it will record the automation in the same spot as where you draw it in. |
